Job summary

Webasto SE in Lexington, KY seeks a Maintenance Tech Programming on the 2nd shift to support robotics and automation on the factory floor. You will program ABB and UR robots, troubleshoot controls, and work with PLCs and vision systems to keep production running smoothly.

Strong hands-on troubleshooting and the ability to read schematics, plus collaboration with cross-functional teams, are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience or training in industrial robotics, automation or related field.
• Experience programming industrial robots; ABB is strongly preferred.
• Basic understanding of PLC-controlled equipment (Siemens preferred).
• Knowledge of how robots, PLCs, sensors and vision systems communicate in a plant.
• Exposure to vision/inspection systems such as Keyence is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Work a 2nd shift schedule from 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM, providing robotics and controls support to manufacturing operations.
• Program and troubleshoot ABB, UR and other industrial robots and related equipment.
• Diagnose robotics, controls and communication issues beyond basic maintenance.
• Make programming adjustments for mold release, priming, spraying, and process-specific tasks.
• Integrate robots with surrounding equipment, sensors, PLCs and vision systems.
• Troubleshoot networks and perform preventive maintenance to improve uptime.
• Collaborate with Maintenance, Controls, Engineering and Production as an on-floor technical resource.
