Job summary

Great Lakes Cheese is seeking a Maintenance Clerk to perform administrative tasks for the maintenance department. You will order and track parts, set up new items in the system, issue purchase orders, and maintain invoices and records.

The role requires high school completion, the ability to multitask, strong arithmetic skills, and working knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Office. Emphasis on safety and quality in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to make decisions based on standard practices.

Responsibilities

• Order parts for equipment for production; ensure correct pricing as listed in the system.
• Source parts to ensure best price and quality.
• Send parts out for repair, track them as necessary.
• Create work orders for parts that are given to Maintenance staff.
• Set up new parts in system and label.
• Write purchase orders; clear the purchase orders as invoices are received.
• Log parts that are received and put them away.
• Take inventory of parts as necessary.
• File purchase orders and invoices.
• Work cooperatively with mechanics and all customers to resolve issues.
• Adhere to safety policies and procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices.
