Job summary

DICK’S Sporting Goods seeks a skilled Maintenance Technician to join its distribution center, responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing facility equipment, including conveyors, PLCs, hydraulics, and pneumatic systems. You will document PMs and coordinate with vendors to complete projects safely.

Qualifications include an Associate’s Degree or technical certificate and 3–5 years of experience, with strong reading of electrical/mechanical drawings and a focus on safety and LOTO

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree required.
• 2 year vocational technical certificate or degree preferably in a mechanical or electrical application.
• 3-5 years of experience.
• Welding, burning, cutting.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, gear boxes & PLC controls.
• Familiar with DC-specific specialized software packages (ex. Crown PM, Gage) & equipment.
• Able to read & understand electrical mechanical building type drawings/schematics.
• Good safety awareness.
• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull & lift up to 75 lbs.
• Experience with LOTO.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to all safety requirements including OSHA standards with regards to LOTO and safe work practices.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair all equipment related to the facility and conveyance systems within the facility. Follow PM standards and document work performed for accurate record keeping in our asset management system.
• Areas of expertise must include PLC’s, conveyors, 3 phase electric, hydraulics, pneumatics, plumbing, and any other related equipment.
• Accurately report spare parts inventory levels and daily parts usage to Maintenance leadership to help ensure spare parts inventory is maintained.
• Assist in teammate development by training junior technicians in order to elevate their performance level while troubleshooting and repairing any related assets.
• Work closely with outside vendors in order to complete projects within the DCs in a safe and timely manner.
• Take on other duties as needed to support the DC and its operational needs.
