Job summary

DICK'S Sporting Goods is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician for our distribution center in the United States. The role focuses on maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing facility equipment, including conveyors and PLC-controlled systems, while following PM standards.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of experience, an associate degree or better in mechanical or electrical disciplines, and strong safety awareness. LOTO experience required; ability to lift up to 75 lbs.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in mechanical or electrical field.
• 3-5 years of experience.
• Welding, burning, cutting.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, gear boxes & PLC controls.
• Familiar with DC-specific software packages and equipment.
• Able to read electrical/mechanical drawings/schematics.
• Good safety awareness.
• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull & lift up to 75 lbs.
• Experience with LOTO.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to all safety requirements including OSHA standards with regards to LOTO and safe work practices.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair all equipment related to the facility and conveyance systems within the facility. Follow PM standards and document work performed for accurate record keeping in our asset management system.
• Accurately report spare parts inventory levels and daily parts usage to Maintenance leadership to help ensure spare parts inventory is maintained.
• Assist in teammate development by training junior technicians in order to elevate their performance level while troubleshooting and repairing any related assets.
• Work closely with outside vendors in order to complete projects within the DCs in a safe and timely manor.
• Take on other duties as needed to support the DC and it’s operational needs.
