Job summary

Custom Building Products is seeking an experienced Maintenance Mechanic for our Bell, CA plant. The role is full-time, Monday–Friday, 2:00 PM–10:30 PM with overtime potential and a 2nd shift differential of $1.50/hour.

You will maintain plant process machinery, troubleshoot electrical issues, and support multiple departments to maximize up-time. Candidates should have 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience, familiarity with NEC/NFPA codes, and the ability to read diagrams.

Qualifications

Minimum of five (5) years of experience in industrial maintenance.
Ability to read electrical and mechanical diagrams.
Knowledge of NEC and NFPA codes preferred.
Safety-minded with strong attendance and reliability.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and operate basic plant equipment.

Responsibilities

Install, repair and maintain plant process machinery including mixers, packers, motors, pneumatic tools & systems, and conveyor systems.
Perform electrical troubleshooting to locate and fix issues.
Provide breakdown reports, track parts usage, and read diagrams.
Perform preventive and predictive maintenance per schedule.
Operate light mobile equipment such as forklifts and skid steer.
Contribute to upkeep of safety and housekeeping standards.
