Job summary

Campbell Soup Company in Maxton, NC is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to perform maintenance and installation on mechanical, electrical and control systems in a fast-paced plant.

The role requires 2nd shift (2:30pm-11:00pm) and a HS diploma or GED with 3–5 years of industrial maintenance experience (or an Associate's degree in related fields). Aptitude testing and strong troubleshooting skills are expected. We offer competitive pay and day-one benefits.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED with 3–5 years of industrial maintenance experience, or an Associate's degree in Industrial Engineering, Industrial Maintenance or Electronic Technology with 2 years experience.
• Ability to work 2nd shift (2:30pm-11:00pm) and overtime/holidays as needed.
• Aptitude testing, observation and hands-on evaluation may be used for aptitude assessment.

Responsibilities

• Inspect/maintain electrical equipment such as fuses, power panels, motor starter/controls, inverters, and variable frequency drives using proper test equipment.
• Troubleshoot problems with equipment in teams to minimize downtime and support line techs during outages.
• Calibrate relays, flow controllers, salt probes, level controllers, scales, and temperature controllers.
• Requisition replacement parts from spare parts storage and inspect/maintain PLCs, sensors, relays, and I/O consoles.
• Repair scales by calibrating load cells and troubleshoot wiring with diagrams; monitor HMI for performance.
• Lubricate parts, wire/unwire motors (single/three-phase/DC) and assist operators to prevent issues.
