Job summary

Ultralife Corporation in Newark, NY is seeking a Maintenance Technician / Shift Lead for the 2nd shift (Mon–Thu, 4:30pm–3:00am). This full-time role combines hands-on maintenance with supervision of production staff to hit daily goals on a 4‑10 schedule.

You will install, troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical and automated systems including Allen‑Bradley hardware, RSLogix, and robotics. A minimum of five years in manufacturing and prior supervision is required, with a focus on safety,

Qualifications

Associates of Science, Engineering Discipline or 5 years demonstrated ability in the field of work.
Minimum 5 years experience in manufacturing environment.
3 years of direct supervision of personnel is preferred.
Experience with Allen-Bradley hardware, Rockwell RSLogix software, Scara robots preferred.
Ability to read mechanical and electrical blueprints and understand basic electrical mechanical control systems.

Responsibilities

Lead production staff in achieving goals and coordinate with shifts to meet manufacturing plans.
Provide input to improve design and promote lean initiatives.
Train staff on processes and SOPs and conduct evaluations with HR.
Collaborate with other departments to resolve issues impacting results.
Ensure compliance with Quality Management System and safety policies.
