Job summary

McWane, Inc. is seeking candidates for a 2nd Shift Position (Monday-Thursday 3pm-1am) in Oskaloosa, Iowa. The starting wage is $28.24 with a qualified wage of $28.78. After a 120-day probationary period, a $500 sign-on bonus is available, and health insurance is offered after 60 days.

Responsibilities include planning machining processes, tooling setup, programming machines, and maintaining operational safety. Qualified candidates should have experience in manufacturing and machining.

Qualifications

• Ability to wear PPE including earplugs, safety glasses, & metatarsal guarded boots.
• Ability to work around machinery.
• Manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plans machining by studying work orders and specifications.
• Completes tooling setup for machines and programs mills and lathes.
• Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions.

Skills

Lifting/carrying of less than 50 pounds

Standing greater than 6 hours per day

Ability to work in extreme temperature conditions

Ability to gauge and measure parts using mathematics

Ability to use hand tools

Manufacturing Experience

Relevant machining experience
