Job summary

Masterack, a Masterack unit of J.B. Poindexter & Co., is seeking a Machine Operator for 2nd shift to operate various production machinery and ensure parts meet specifications. You will inspect parts, document setup records, and maintain safety and quality standards on the shop floor.

Qualifications include basic reading and math, ability to lift 35 lbs, and experience with manufacturing environments. Blueprint and measuring tool reading are preferred.

Qualifications

• Basic reading and math skills required.
• Ability to lift or move typically 35 lbs.
• Ability to perform physical activities including standing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, and handling materials.
• Strong attention to detail and care when operating production machinery.
• Must be able to work 2nd Shift from 3:00 PM–11:30 PM.
• Previous experience in a production or manufacturing environment preferred.
• Machine Operator or press operation experience preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints preferred.
• Ability to read measuring tools preferred.
• All candidates must be at least 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Operates production machinery according to the production schedule.
• Inspects parts for proper dimensions using approved samples and measuring tools.
• Completes required documentation, including identifying and labeling parts, setup records, and scrap reports.
• Adheres to all company safety guidelines and procedures.
• Communicates equipment, production, or quality issues to the Group/Team Leader or Supervisor.
• Maintains close attention to quality and proper handling of machine tools and parts.
