Job summary

Masterack is seeking a skilled machine operator in Social Circle, GA, to run production equipment and ensure parts meet specifications. You will perform inspections, document setups, and monitor quality while following safety procedures on the 2nd shift.

The role requires basic reading and math skills, the ability to lift 35 lbs, and standing for long periods. Prior press or machine experience is preferred, with attention to detail and reliable teamwork.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift or move typically 35 lbs.
• Ability to perform physical activities including standing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, and handling materials.
• Strong attention to detail and care when operating production machinery.
• Ability to work 2nd Shift from 3:00 PM–11:30 PM.

Responsibilities

• Operates production machinery according to the production schedule.
• Inspects parts for proper dimensions using approved samples and measuring tools.
• Completes required documentation, including identifying and labeling parts, setup records, and scrap reports.
• Adheres to all company safety guidelines and procedures.
• Communicates equipment, production, or quality issues to the Group/Team Leader or Supervisor.
• Maintains close attention to quality and proper handling of machine tools and parts.

Shift: 2nd Shift Hours: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM

Summary

Responsible for the operation of production machinery to produce parts according to specifications. Equipment may include, but is not limited to, coil presses, single presses, brake presses, turret presses, spot welders, benders, wire straighteners, punch presses, drill presses, and other production machinery.

Key Responsibilities

• Operates production machinery according to the production schedule.
• Inspects parts for proper dimensions using approved samples and measuring tools.
• Completes required documentation, including identifying and labeling parts, setup records, and scrap reports.
• Adheres to all company safety guidelines and procedures.
• Communicates equipment, production, or quality issues to the Group/Team Leader or Supervisor.
• Maintains close attention to quality and proper handling of machine tools and parts.

Required Skills & Experience

• Basic reading and math skills.
• Ability to lift or move typically 35 lbs.
• Ability to perform physical activities including standing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, and handling materials.
• Strong attention to detail and care when operating production machinery.
• Ability to work 2nd Shift from 3:00 PM–11:30 PM.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a production or manufacturing environment preferred.
• Machine Operator or press operation experience preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints preferred.
• Ability to use and read measuring tools preferred.
• All candidates must be at least 18 years of age or older.
