Job summary

Valmont Industries in Elkhart, IN is seeking a skilled manufacturing operator with 3–5 years of experience to setup, operate and maintain shop equipment. You will read blueprints, perform basic measurements, and aim for quality, on-time production while adhering to safety standards.

In this role you will troubleshoot minor machine issues, document results, and collaborate with the Production Supervisor and team to minimize downtime and improve processes.

Qualifications

• Must have 3–5 years' experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints/shop drawings.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and maintain safety standards.
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to work with a production team.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and perform general maintenance of equipment.
• Load machine programs and process materials per shop orders.
• Read blueprints and perform math calculations for setup.
• Minimize downtime and ensure on-time, quality production.
• Report issues to Production Supervisor and participate in lean/5S activities.
