Job summary

Graham Packaging Company is seeking a Machine Operator for Prattville, AL on the 2nd shift (2:30 PM to 11:00 PM, Monday to Friday). The role involves operating high-speed molding equipment, obtaining forklift certification, and lock-out/tag-out readiness.

Qualifications

• Regular, predictable, and punctual attendance is required.
• Computer usage and typing skills are essential.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with internal and external customers.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines with a positive attitude and good customer service.
• Ability to work independently and complete assignments within given parameters.
• Clear and effective written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Understand, follow, and enforce all safety, health, quality GMP and company policies and practices.
• Participate in continuous quality improvement projects and related activities.
• Operate a group of plastic blow molding machines and auxiliary equipment to produce containers safely and with high quality.
• Perform basic processing of injection/blow molding machines to improve efficiency and reduce scrap.
• Perform assigned preventative maintenance work and keep the work area clean and safe.
• Communicate processing information to designated personnel on incoming shifts and assist operators as needed.
