Job summary

Camfil is seeking a Machine Operator (2nd Shift) in Crystal Lake, IL. The role involves operating manual and semi-automated machinery, performing 6S duties, and documenting data to ensure specifications are met.

You will replace chemicals, reset machines, and record downtime as part of daily duties. Ideal candidates have 2–5 years in manufacturing, exposure to cleanroom environments, and experience with Windows-based software and MRP systems.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of manufacturing and machine operating experience.
• Cleanroom environment exposure (food, pharmaceutical, or medical device manufacturing) is preferred.
• Skills in measurement tools related to above industries.
• 2 years in a technical discipline or 3–5 years running equipment with Windows-based software.
• Self-motivation with minimal direction to accomplish tasks.
• Team player who communicates well with the work group.
• Consistently delivers quality work and meets timelines.
• Strong time management and documentation skills.
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office, an MRP system and email.
• Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Inspect components for defects to meet requirements.
• Maintain and set up equipment at start of shift; clean and reset for next shift.
• Read, interpret and follow test procedures and assembly drawings.
• Participate in process improvement projects.
• Report downtime and issues to Group Leader with clear documentation.
• Adhere to safety, security, and company policies.
