Job summary

ABB in Mebane, NC is seeking a Production Supervisor for 2nd shift to lead LV switchgear production onsite. You will manage daily operations, ensure safety, quality and on-time delivery, and drive continuous improvement with lean practices.

The role reports to the Integrated Production Unit Manager and requires 5+ years in manufacturing with 2+ years in supervision, plus SAP and Excel proficiency. Onsite, 2nd shift hours 2:30pm–11:30pm EST.

Qualifications

Associate degree in manufacturing or related field, or equivalent experience.
Minimum 5 years of manufacturing experience with at least 2 years in supervision.
Experience coordinating production schedules, workforce, and priorities.
Strong knowledge of ERP/SAP for production reporting and inventory.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Ability to coach and develop teams.

Responsibilities

Prepares annual production budget, oversees progress and controls costs.
Develops team members, projects, goals, and metrics to maximize performance.
Develops and executes plans to reduce costs, increase revenues, deliver on time with high yields.
Collaborates with Operational Excellence to integrate lean principles.
Focus on capacity efficiency, identify gaps, and create recovery plans.
Promotes a culture of lean leadership and accountability.
