Job summary

ABB is seeking a Production Supervisor (2nd Shift) in Mebane, NC to lead daily LV switchgear manufacturing operations onsite. You will manage schedules, drive continuous improvement, and ensure safety and quality compliance while meeting delivery commitments.

You will supervise a team, coordinate production planning, and collaborate with ERP and operations teams to optimize yields and factory performance. Strong leadership and SAP proficiency are required.

Qualifications

• Requires 5+ years in manufacturing with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Experience coordinating production schedules, workforce allocation, and priorities to meet safety, quality, delivery, and productivity goals.
• Familiarity with SAP for production reporting and inventory transactions; strong Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepares annual production budget, oversees progress, and acts to address cost issues.
• Develops and leads teams, projects, goals, and metrics to maximize operational performance and working capital.
• Plans to reduce non-value-added costs, increase on-time delivery, and improve yields and product reliability.
• Collaborates with Operational Excellence to apply lean principles in production processes.
• Ensures capacity meets production expectations and develops recovery plans when needed.
• Promotes lean leadership and accountability across the operations.
