Job summary

ABB is seeking a Production Supervisor (1st Shift) in Mebane, NC to lead LV switchgear manufacturing. You’ll drive daily operations, safety, quality and on-time delivery while mentoring teams and implementing lean improvements.

This onsite role reports to Integrated Production Unit Manager and focuses on cost-effective, high-yield production. Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in manufacturing with 2+ in leadership, strong SAP and MS Office skills, and a collaborative, results-driven mindset.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years in a manufacturing environment with leadership experience.
• 2+ years of supervisory or team leadership experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of manufacturing operations, quality systems, and inventory control.
• Experience coordinating production schedules, workforce allocation, and priorities.
• Understanding production planning, materials management, and supply chain processes.
• Experience using SAP for production reporting and inventory transactions.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Prepares annual production budget, oversees progress, and manages costs within budget.
• Develops team members, projects, goals, and metrics for high performance.
• Plans to reduce non-value-added costs and ensure on-time delivery with high yields.
• Collaborates with Operational Excellence to integrate lean principles.
• Monitors capacity efficiency and develops recovery plans as needed.
• Leads with lean leadership and accountability across the production floor.
