Job summary

Abbott in Columbus, Ohio, is seeking an on-site manufacturing professional to operate and maintain quality systems for liquid adult, pediatric, and medical nutrition products. You will lift, handle, and weigh raw ingredients, operate CIP/COP and associated equipment, and document steps per work orders.

The role requires reading work orders, troubleshooting equipment, and strong mechanical aptitude with experience in plant production, preferably in food/drug/beverage manufacturing. 2nd shift.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.
• Knowledge of food processing techniques and documentation requirements.
• Ability to read and follow work orders, troubleshoot equipment, and operate powered industrial vehicles.
• Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in a plant production environment (food/drug/beverage preferred).

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain the quality and safety system.
• Manufacture liquid adult, pediatric, and medical nutrition products.
• Lifting and handling of raw ingredients during weighing and manufacturing processes.
• Operate and monitor equipment including pumps, mixers, and CIP/COP systems.
• Document manufacturing steps and batch records as per work orders.
• Prepare/monitor bulk slurries and heat treatment processes.
• Operate computer-controlled CIP systems and manage bulk ingredient receipt and unloading.
• Ensure compliance with FDA, OSHA, and Abbott policies.
