Job summary

Saint-Gobain Performance Plastics is seeking a Production Supervisor for the 2nd shift (3:00pm - 11:00pm, M-F) in California. You will oversee material flow across multiple processes, drive efficiency and quality, and lead continuous improvements with cross-functional teams including engineering, tooling, and supply chain.

A strong focus on safety and accurate production reporting is essential. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Engineering, 5+ years of manufacturing supervision experience,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering is required.
• 5+ years manufacturing experience supervising manufacturing processes.
• Ability to read blueprints and perform FMEA & PFMEA analysis.
• Familiarity with MRP systems like SAP or QAD.
• Six Sigma Green Belt preferred.
• Background in World Class Manufacturing or similar cost-saving initiatives preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee material flow across injection molding, machining and annealing for 2nd shift.
• Drive efficiency, quality and operational excellence with zero-defect mindset.
• Collaborate with engineering, tooling/machine shop, assembly and supply chain.
• Support process improvements, troubleshoot issues and perform root cause analysis.
• Develop SOPs and Work Instructions; lead setup time reduction initiatives.
• Monitor downtime, implement productivity measurement systems and recycling programs.
• Ensure equipment maintenance, schedule training, and drive WCM cost-saving projects.
• Maintain safety focus and accurate production reporting.
