Job summary

ITT Inc. in Lancaster, PA seeks a Lean Technician to polish hygienic valve bodies and ensure production quality. You will read shop orders, verify dimensions with inspection tools, and document outcomes. This 2nd shift role emphasizes safety, process discipline, and teamwork.

The position requires basic computer skills, a high school diploma or equivalent, and strong attention to detail. Kaizen participation and 6S maintenance are part of daily work.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent or related experience.
• Basic knowledge of computer operation.
• Prior experience in production or manufacturing and use of hand production tools preferred.
• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Inspect production and manufacturing materials for conformance and quality.
• Polish bodies to specified finishes and cosmetic standards.
• Use measuring instruments to verify dimensions and surface finish.
• Certify quality of polished bodies and document results.
• Operate finishing tools and equipment; assist with housekeeping and safety.
• Participate in Kaizen events and continuous improvement efforts.
• Follow EH&S, quality, and process policies; report safety concerns.
• Maintain 6S areas and a clean, safe workspace.
• Read shop orders, obtain drawings, and track labor/time using systems.
• Communicate with peers and other departments; support team objectives.
• Assist in training Lean Tech I as needed.
