Job summary

Nordic Ware is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead the 2nd Shift Metal Fabrication Department, ensuring safe, efficient, and on-time production of high-quality kitchenware. You will provide hands-on leadership and direct supervision to production staff across shifts.

We emphasize safety, accountability, and continuous improvement, with Lean tools such as 6S, PDCA, and SMED. Excellent communication and 3+ years in metal fabrication with leadership are desired.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of experience in Metal Fabrication, Metal Finishing or a similar manufacturing process.
• Minimum of one year of leadership experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Bilingual communication skills in English and Spanish are highly preferred.
• Must have or be willing to complete Lean Practitioner Certification.
• Continuous improvement mindset and strong change management skills.
• Must have or be willing to complete Blueprint Reading and Measurement courses.
• Ability to self-direct workload and meet strict deadlines.
• Data entry proficiency; ERP experience preferred.
• Good organizational skills.
• Willingness to work additional time as needed.

Responsibilities

• Participate in hiring and training of employees and contractors; plan, assign, direct work; appraise performance and provide coaching.
• Provide recognition and reward; ensure good employee relations; address complaints and promote safe working conditions.
• Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality.
• Maintain a strong emphasis on quality assurance through audits of finished products and documentation.
• Communicate safety focuses, production targets and unresolved issues from prior shift to ensure continuity across shifts.
• Support inventory management by executing inventory movement and maintaining records.
• Assist in establishing and maintaining 6S and Lean standards to promote organization and waste reduction.
• Help train and mentor staff in Lean tools like PDCA, SMED, RCA and SOPs.
• Assist manager in staffing levels and scheduling while supporting quality, safety and customer requirements.
