Job summary

Paycom in Chanhassen, MN is hiring a Laser Operator on the 2nd shift (2pm-12:30am, M-Th) to operate laser systems for sheet metal fabrication, set up a laser, and load materials safely.

The role features three pay tiers from $34.81 to $41.37 per hour, with overtime and opportunities to train others, maintain laser systems, and use Radan and Amada laser tools within a manufacturing team.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar role is required.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and work well with others.
• Excellent organizational skills for maintaining inventory levels and stock management.
• Problem-solving skills for resolving shipping discrepancies and customer issues.
• Applicants must pass a pre-employment physical, drug test, and background check.

Responsibilities

• Operate laser for sheet metal fabrication.
• Use nesting software per machine.
• Set up and run one laser proficiently.
• Center, lens cleaning, focus tests; load material safely.
• Communicate job status via clocking, inventory, and completion.
• Assist in training employees in the work center.
