Job summary

JUSTICEPOINT is seeking a 2nd Shift Jail Screening Specialist to conduct inmate interviews and assessments at the Ramsey County Adult Detention Center. You will prepare objective reports for the Court, Prosecution, and Defense, including risk level findings and release recommendations.

The role supports pretrial supervision initiatives and may involve Diversion program identification. A rotation of four ten-hour shifts over a 4-on/4-off schedule applies, with full-time status and benefits.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Ability to communicate professionally and accurately, both orally and written.
• Organized, attentive to detail, able to multi-task and work independently.
• Ability to work with individuals from diverse economic, racial, and ethnic backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Conduct interviews and assessments of inmates.
• Provide detailed and objective reports to Court, Prosecution, and Defense.
• Assist in releasing individuals from custody to pretrial supervision and Diversion screening.
• Assist with Release Preparation and may exercise Delegated Release Authority.
