Job summary

Advanced Correctional Healthcare seeks a Behavioral Health Professional at Wabasha County Jail to deliver screening and interventions for detainees. You will work with custody and medical teams to support ongoing treatment and case management, ensuring continuity of care in a secure setting.

Responsibilities include documentation, CQI participation, and staff training while maintaining professional standards and adherence to policy. The role is part-time and on-site in Minnesota.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a behavioral/social science field is required.
• Current licensure with clinical specialty is preferred.
• CPR certification must be obtained prior to hire and maintained.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and be able to operate a motor vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision, perform behavioral health screening of detainees.
• Provide individual and group psychoeducation and skills-based interventions.
• Assist custody and medical staff in monitoring behavioral health.
• Coordinate with custody and medical staff for treatment plans.
• Monitor therapeutic support for segregated and isolated detainees.
• Coordinate with county services for continuity of care and discharge planning.
• Complete documentation and maintain referral records for CQI.
• Demonstrate commitment to behavioral health support and staff training.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education

Master’s Degree in Behavioral/Social Science

CPR certification

Valid driver’s license

Independent practice

Licensed (preferred)
