Job summary

Vestis in Springfield, IL is seeking a dependable team member for 2nd shift in an industrial laundry facility. You will safely handle merchandise, stage and feed items on the ironer, and ensure accurate processing of towels, napkins, table cloths, and aprons as part of a coordinated team.

Ideal candidates demonstrate basic math skills, good communication, and reliability, with the ability to stand, lift, and push carts up to 300 lbs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to understand all required training, written, and verbal instructions.
• Basic math and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Stages and feeds merchandise on ironer to reduce wrinkling.
• Receives and folds merchandise from ironer.
• Identifies and segregates items not meeting quality standards.
• Verifies quantity and bundles by type; places in storage carts.
• Maneuvers full and empty carts; maintains safe, clean work area.
• Overtime may be required; other duties as assigned.
