Vestis in Springfield, IL is hiring for a 2nd shift position in an industrial laundry facility. You will join a team responsible for the safe, expeditious handling of merchandise on the wash floor, including preparation of slings and verification of counts on the PUC card.

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to understand training, written and verbal instructions.
• Working knowledge of basic math.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepares daily slings or carts for the wash floor.
• Verifies merchandise type and quantity on PUC card; groups like items by sling.
• Counts, identifies ruin/damaged merchandise and records on the PUC card.
• Maintains a safe, clean work environment and follows production best practices.
• Other duties as assigned.
