Job summary

Colonial Group in Springfield, IL is seeking a 2nd Shift team member for our industrial laundry facility. You will safely and accurately handle towels, napkins, table clothes, and aprons, feeding and unloading items from the ironer and ensuring quality standards are met.

You will verify counts, organize bundles, and move carts in a fast-paced warehouse. The role requires good communication, the ability to follow instructions, and willingness to work weekends and overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to understand and follow training and written/verbal instructions.
• Good verbal and/or written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to meet attendance schedule.
• Shift work schedule, including weekends.
• Overtime may be required.

Responsibilities

• Stages and feeds merchandise on ironer to reduce wrinkling and tangling.
• Receives and folds merchandise from ironer.
• Identifies and segregates merchandise not meeting quality standards (rips, tears, holes, stains).
• Verifies merchandise quantity and bundles by type; places bundles in storage carts.
• Maneuvers full and empty carts.
• Maintains a safe/clean work environment and follows best practices.
• Other duties as assigned.
