Job summary

Leggett & Platt Incorporated is seeking a Cycle Counter to maintain and improve inventory accuracy within our automotive-related warehousing operations. You will execute daily cycle counts, verify transactions, and collaborate across Production, Receiving, Shipping, and Planning to support material flow and ERP/MRP accuracy.

The role emphasizes root cause analysis, problem solving, and a strong focus on safety and 6S practices.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent.
Minimum 1–3 years forklift experience.
1–3 years inventory control, cycle counting, warehouse, material handling, or manufacturing experience.
Experience using ERP/MRP systems and inventory transactions.
Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification.

Responsibilities

Serve as a shared owner of cycle count execution and inventory accuracy.
Conduct daily cycle counts according to established schedules and procedures.
Investigate inventory discrepancies and perform root cause analysis to determine corrective actions.
Verify inventory transactions, locations, quantities, and movements for ERP/MRP accuracy.
Research variances involving receiving, production, shipping, scrap and material handling.
Monitor inventory accuracy metrics and communicate recurring issues to leadership.
Assist with physical inventories, audits, and reconciliations.
Collaborate with Production, Receiving, Shipping, Planning and Warehouse Operations to maintain integrity.
