Job summary

Leggett & Platt Incorporated is seeking a Cycle Counter at our Genesis Seating location in Grand Rapids, MI. This 2nd shift role supports inventory accuracy and material flow. Hours are 3:30PM-2:00AM, Monday-Thursday with overtime as needed, reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor.

The ideal candidate will perform daily cycle counts, investigate discrepancies, and work with Production and Shipping to maintain ERP/MRP accuracy. Forklift use and 6S practices are part of the role.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1–3 years forklift experience (stand-up and sit-down).
• 1–3 years inventory control, cycle counting, warehouse, material handling, or manufacturing experience.
• Experience utilizing ERP/MRP systems and performing inventory transactions.
• Experience conducting cycle counts, inventory audits, and inventory reconciliations preferred.
• Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to inventory accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Own cycle count execution and inventory accuracy throughout the facility.
• Conduct daily cycle counts according to schedules and procedures.
• Investigate inventory discrepancies and perform root cause analysis.
• Verify inventory transactions, locations, quantities, and movements in ERP/MRP.
• Research variances involving receiving, production, shipping, scrap, and handling activities.
• Monitor inventory accuracy metrics and communicate recurring issues to leadership.
• Assist with physical inventories, audits, and reconciliations.
• Support material handlers with pick lists, replenishment, and related tasks.
