Job summary

Catalyst Nutraceuticals is seeking an Inventory Control specialist to maintain accurate finished goods inventory through cycle counts and verification of receipts, putaways, and shipments. You will work closely with Production, Warehousing, and Shipping to ensure traceable, well-documented transactions.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and committed to inventory integrity while supporting efficient warehouse operations.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 1–2 years of warehouse/inventory experience preferred.
  • Experience with ERP/WMS and inventory software.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

  • Perform cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Verify production receipts and batch/lot information.
  • Audit finished goods putaways and postings in the system.
  • Verify outbound shipments against orders and packing slips.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and documentation.

Position Summary

The Inventory Control is responsible for maintaining accurate finished goods inventory through cycle counting, production receipt verification, finished goods putaway audits, and shipment verification activities. This position serves as a critical link between Production, Warehousing, and Shipping by ensuring all inventory transactions are accurate, traceable, and properly documented. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and committed to maintaining inventory integrity while supporting efficient warehouse operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies by comparing physical inventory to system records.
  • Verify production receipts to ensure finished goods quantities, lot numbers, and product information are accurately entered into the inventory management system.
  • Audit and verify finished goods putaways to ensure inventory is stored in the correct warehouse locations.
  • Ensure all inventory transactions are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Verify outbound shipments against sales orders, pick lists, packing slips, and Bills of Lading prior to shipment.
  • Confirm picked quantities, lot numbers, and pallet counts match system and customer requirements.
  • Monitor inventory movements between production, storage, and shipping areas.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and supporting documentation.
  • Perform inventory adjustments with proper authorization and documentation.
  • Create and maintain inventory reports, cycle count records, and audit documentation.
  • Coordinate with Production, Quality, Planning, and Shipping teams to resolve inventory issues and improve inventory accuracy.
  • Assist in physical inventories and year-end inventory counts.
  • Investigate root causes of inventory variances and recommend corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with GMP requirements, inventory control procedures, and company policies.
  • Operate warehouse equipment as required, including forklifts and scissor lifts, following all safety guidelines.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to inventory control and warehouse operations
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Strong understanding of inventory control principles and warehouse operations.
  • Experience performing cycle counts, inventory audits, and discrepancy investigations.
  • Proficiency with ERP, WMS, or inventory management software.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Forklift and/or scissor lift experience is required.
Education and Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 1–2 years of warehouse, receiving, inventory control, or related experience preferred.
  • Experience with inventory management software and warehouse management systems required.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive movements throughout the workday.
  • Ability to climb and work at elevated heights using warehouse equipment.
  • Ability to work in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures and conditions.
  • Warehouse and manufacturing facility environment.
  • Frequent material handling and physical labor required.
  • Exposure to warehouse equipment, inventory storage systems, and shipping/receiving operations.
  • Must follow all safety protocols and GMP requirements.
