Job summary

Momsmeals in North Jackson, Ohio, is seeking an Inventory Control Specialist to ensure accuracy and FEFO compliance. This hands-on role requires frequent cycle counts and coordination across departments.

You will build reports, identify root causes of discrepancies, and drive corrective actions within our ERP/WMS environment. Ideal candidates have 2+ years of cycle count experience and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 2+ years’ cycle count or inventory coordination experience.
  • Experience in production environment, preferably food production.
  • Must obtain lift certification within 30 days of start.
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds and work in varying temperatures.
  • Strong Excel skills for reports and spreadsheets.

Responsibilities

  • Physically count items in inventory using appropriate processes, and forms
  • Build and use reports to identify and resolve inventory discrepancies
  • Maintain inventory accuracy and FEFO on pick line
  • Actively drive continuous improvement initiatives that streamline the flow of product and system scans
  • Identify and document root causes of inventory inaccuracies
  • Update and maintain inventory quantities in ERP/WMS system when discrepancies are found
  • Resolve Outbound order errors when they occur in the facility
  • Proactively set up and drive cross-functional corrective actions plans to eliminate root causes identified and support the change process

Job description

The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for inventory accuracy in the facility.This position is a hands‑on position, and it’s estimated that approximately 85% of a typical day will be physically counting inventory, ensuring proper FEFO, Lot code tracking, and assisting with operational inventory issues. The remaining time will be spent researching root causes of found inventory errors and working with other team members and functions to ensure proper procedures are followed.

  • Identify and document root causes of inventory inaccuracies
  • Update and maintain inventory quantities in ERP/WMS system when discrepancies are found
  • Resolve Outbound order errors when they occur in the facility

  • Must obtain lift certification within 30 days of start

  • Regularly required to use hands to feel, grab, or operate objects, tools, and controls while reaching with hands and arms
