Job summary

Saint-Gobain Group is hiring an Injection Molding Process Technician for 2nd shift (1:00pm - 9:30pm, M-F) in Garden Grove, CA. The role supports the Injection molding department and Sr. Process Technician by ensuring tooling readiness and process documentation is followed.

The ideal candidate has a High School degree and 5-10 years of Injection Molding/Plastic manufacturing experience. The job includes data capture, tooling evaluation, and continuous improvement to reduce cycle times and scrap

Qualifications

• High School degree required.
• 5-10 years Injection Molding/Plastic manufacturing experience required.

Responsibilities

• Assist mold setters to ensure tooling is set up and processes per documentation.
• Inspect product actual dimensions per drawings.
• Ensure production runs consistently meet critical dimensions and cosmetic criteria per sample lot size.
• Maintain 5S workspace before, during, and after each shift.
• Enter job information into the system and collect data on processing parameters; assist training of new employees.
• Evaluate tooling and provide improvement suggestions to supervisor and Sr. Process Technician.
• Improve mold setup time and cycle time.
