ABB in Florida is seeking an Injection Mold Technician on the 2nd shift to oversee plastic injection molding operations, ensure quality, and maintain 5S in the work area.

You will train shift personnel on SOPs, perform process diagnostics, monitor machines and cycles, and act quickly to resolve issues while upholding safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a technical capacity in plastic injection molding.
• Working knowledge of production flow and processes.
• Adequate interpersonal and communication skills (oral & written).

Responsibilities

• Keep machines running at standard rate and monitor cycle times.
• Perform quality checks and record results for each molded part.
• Monitor machines for proper function and safety.
• Notify when there is machine or tool malfunction.
• Load and unload product bins as needed.
• Maintain 5S and daily press area checks.
• Complete daily molding log and press board.
• Diagnose production issues and determine corrective actions.
• Train shift personnel on SOPs and processing techniques.
