Job summary

ABB is hiring for an Injection Mold Technician on the 2nd shift. The role covers all aspects of plastic injection molding production, including training, cost, quality standards, and service, with emphasis on safety and 5S in the work area.

You will ensure machines run to standard rates, perform quality checks, monitor safety, document processes, and provide training to shift personnel on SOPs and processing techniques.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in plastic injection molding.
• Working knowledge of production flow and processes.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all machines run at a standard rate, cavitation & cycle time.
• Perform quality checks at predetermined times and record on all products being molded to ensure quality.
• Monitor machines to ensure proper functions and safety.
• Load and unload product bins or containers as necessary.
• Complete daily molding log book (press report) and press board.
• Provide training to shift personnel regarding standard operating procedures and processing techniques.
