Job summary

gpac is recruiting for a 2nd Shift Paint Team Lead / Industrial Painter in Saginaw, MI. The role focuses on leading a 2nd shift team, maintaining coating quality, and expanding into management as the department grows.

You will oversee 4 painters, apply protective coatings, and collaborate with the 1st shift supervisor to ensure seamless handoffs. The position offers 2nd shift differential and overtime opportunities.

Qualifications

• Solid experience in industrial spray painting (automotive/defense/heavy equipment preferred).
• Experience training others or leading a small team to ensure quality control.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a 2nd shift team of 4 industrial painters.
• Perform rigorous quality checks for military, aerospace, and commercial coatings.
• Apply finishes and protective coatings using industrial spray equipment.
• Coordinate with 1st Shift Paint Supervisor for smooth shift handoffs.
