Job summary

Postle Extrusion, a leading manufacturer of aluminum extrusions located in Cassopolis, MI, is seeking a Wet Coat Paint Supervisor for the 2nd shift. The role leads a team in the safe operation of the paint department, with training provided and bilingual applicants encouraged.

The position emphasizes safety, adherence to quality and production processes, and meeting schedules and customer deliveries. Overtime and weekend work may be required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Safety is the #1 priority at all times.
• Ensure team members follow safety processes and conduct monthly safety reviews.
• Motivate team members to pursue continuous improvement in safety, quality, delivery and cost.
• Coach, develop, and train team members.
• Maintain/monitor production goals and communicate requirements to the team.
• Ensure department meets production goals.
• Identify and report machine and equipment malfunctions to maintenance.
• Ensure good quality parts are ran consistently at their press locations.
• Maintain open communication with Crew, Supervisors, Production Management and Planning.
• Communicate in a timely and effective manner.
• Follow directions and complete follow through with directions.
• Enforce company policies, rules, regulations in a firm, fair, and consistent manner.
