Job summary

Dover Fueling Solutions in Smithfield, NC, is seeking a Maintenance Technician I for the 2nd shift to maintain CNC machines and automated production equipment. You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems, read manuals and diagrams, and document work orders.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, basic electrical troubleshooting, and mechanical aptitude.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Technical school or industrial maintenance training preferred.
• 1–3 years of industrial maintenance experience preferred.
• Basic understanding of electrical troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical components including bearings, belts, chains, gearboxes, pumps, motors, and drive systems.
• Assist with diagnosing electrical problems using a multimeter.
• Read voltage, check continuity, verify power, and test fuses.
• Replace sensors, switches, contactors, relays, proximity switches, limit switches, and other electrical components as directed.
• Perform lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures before servicing equipment.
• Troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic systems including cylinders, valves, hoses, regulators, and air leaks.
• Perform repairs on CNC equipment and automated machinery under guidance when necessary.
• Read equipment manuals, mechanical drawings.
• Complete work orders and maintenance documentation accurately.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve equipment reliability.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns in a timely manner.
