Job summary

Peet’s Coffee is seeking a Maintenance Technician at its Alameda plant to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair equipment and facility systems. This role reports to the Maintenance Supervisor and supports safe, reliable operations.

You’ll perform preventive maintenance, diagnose line issues, work with HMIs, read electrical diagrams, use multimeters, and assist with line changes. Evening/weekend shifts and overtime may be required. Competitive hourly wage and benefits.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in industrial maintenance, preferably in food manufacturing or packaging.
• Strong electro-mechanical aptitude, with the ability to troubleshoot and maintain mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and related equipment.
• Self-starter who is organized, dependable, and able to work independently while also being a strong team player.
• Bilingual skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on all plant equipment according to the maintenance schedule.
• Diagnose and repair filling and assembly lines as needed.
• Interpret and utilize system error messages on related equipment.
• Understand roasting equipment operation including HMIs.
• Be able to work on bag slitters and pallet lifter.
• Perform diagnosis and repairs on hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Read and interpret electrical diagrams.
• Possess the ability to use multimeters.
• Repair facilities items (doors, lights, etc.).
• Assist with roasting equipment maintenance and line changeovers.
