Job summary

Stellar Energy in Jacksonville, FL, is seeking a 2nd Shift Painter to operate spray painting and sandblasting equipment for industrial coatings. Roles involve applying urethanes, zinc epoxies, alkyds, primers, and enamels while following SSPC/NACE standards and safety protocols.

The position is full-time, non-exempt, hourly, with second shift from 3:00 p.m. to 1:30 a.m., and requires at least a high school diploma and 3+ years of related experience. Local candidates preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years related experience or training.
• Knowledge of SSPC/NACE coatings standards preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain spray painting and sandblasting equipment.
• Ensure coatings meet data sheets and SDS requirements safely and timely.
• Apply various coatings: urethanes, zinc epoxies, alkyds, primers, enamels.
• Monitor humidity, temperature and surface profile during application.
• Direct and supervise helpers as needed.
