Job summary

Maricopa County’s Facilities Management is seeking an HVAC Technician to maintain and repair the County’s HVAC systems in downtown Phoenix. The role operates on a second shift, 3:00 PM–11:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with potential OT as needed.

You will identify repair and replacement needs, install and maintain equipment, and ensure maximum operational effectiveness across a large portfolio of facilities. EPA certification and a valid AZ driver's license are required.

Qualifications

• Three years of journey-level experience in troubleshooting and repair of commercial/industrial air conditioning systems.
• Completion of an apprenticeship or vocational education may substitute for one year of experience.
• EPA or Universal EPA certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, install, and replace HVAC equipment including air dryers, A/C units, pumps, boilers, and controls.
• Monitor and repair facilities automation systems and dampers.
• Perform preventative maintenance and respond to service calls and emergencies.
• Maintain communication with clients, technicians, and management; manage time and inventory.
