Job summary

Cleveland Gear Co is seeking an HMC Operator to set up and run a Horizontal Machining Center, delivering parts that meet customer specs and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have CNC experience and be able to interpret blueprints while maintaining safety and productivity on the shop floor.

Qualifications

• 1 year experience in setup and operation of precision machinery including CNC.
• Ability to read blueprints and perform basic mathematical calculations.

• Ensure work center productivity and quality goals are achieved in line with Cleveland Gear policies.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The individual in this position will be charged with setup and operation responsibilities in a Horizontal Machining Center. Completing tasks based on customer demands, production requirements and quality with respect to Cleveland Gear policy and procedure Successful candidates are expected to maintain a performance level in accordance with work center productivity and quality goals.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Two (2) years experience in setting-up and operating precision machinery including Computer Numerical Control (CNC)
• Aptitude in applied mathematics and blueprint interpretation
• Experience process inspection and measurement systems

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

1 year experience in the set-up and operation in setting-up and operating precision machinery including Computer Numerical Controls (CNC) Basic understanding of mathematical concepts and blueprint interpretation. High School Diploma. Company Description
