Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands, Inc. is seeking a 2nd shift manufacturing operator in Houston, TX. You will set up and run heavy machinery, read blueprints, and ensure quality parts while following safety protocols.

Overtime and weekend shifts may be required. Company offers medical, dental, vision benefits starting day 1 and 401(k) plans. Two valid hands-on skills with measuring tools and equipment are essential, with forklift/crane training available.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of manufacturing or related experience.
• Good communication skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Experience with hand tools, wrenches, banding equipment and nail guns.
• Able to read a tape measure; forklift/crane experience a plus (trainable).
• Overtime and weekend availability.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate heavy machinery for cutting, punching, forming, blocking, and processing operations.
• Interpret blueprints and specifications to select correct materials.
• Follow safety rules in a manufacturing environment.
• Operate computerized equipment and material handling systems.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance and lubrication on equipment.
• Mark part numbers and IDs for traceability; attach identification tags.
• Maintain continuous improvement in the work area.
• Stand/walk 8–12 hours daily; lift up to 50 pounds.
