Job summary

Valmont is seeking an individual contributor for second shift to operate one or more manufacturing equipment (Pour Cart, Mi-Jack, Water Jet, Shuttle Lift, Stress Jack, Drill Press) and support production in Claxton, GA. You will read and follow instructions in English, perform basic repairs, and participate in Lean and 5S initiatives.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years of related experience, OSHA certification is a plus, and must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a

Qualifications

Must be certified to operate equipment including Pour Cart, Mi-Jack, Water Jet, Shuttle Lift, Final Stress Jack, Drill Press and other mobile equipment.
High school diploma or GED is desirable but not required.
1–3 years of relevant manufacturing experience.
Must read and follow written and verbal instructions in English.
Ability to wear required PPE and work in a non-temperature-controlled outdoor environment.

Responsibilities

Operate one or more types of equipment (Pour Cart, Mi-Jack, Waterjet, Lubrication, Shuttle Lift, Stress Jack, Drill Press; Mobile Equipment Operator, Filler Operator).
Read and follow production instructions and safety procedures.
Perform basic repairs and troubleshoot equipment.
Participate in Lean manufacturing concepts and 5S.
Maintain attention to detail and safety.
Report hazards to supervision.
