Job summary

MacAllister Machinery Co., Inc. is looking for a motivated 2nd Shift Heavy Equipment Shop Technician in Fort Wayne, Indiana. This role involves performing mechanical services on heavy equipment, along with ordering parts and maintaining tools.

The ideal candidate will have 3 to 5 years of heavy equipment experience, preferably with Caterpillar, and must possess strong problem-solving skills. Join a supportive team with access to resources and training, and enjoy a positive work environment.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of mechanical experience with heavy equipment, preferably with Caterpillar.
• Strong working knowledge of hydraulics, power train and electrical systems.
• Must be able to work overtime and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to all safety rules and maintains good housekeeping in the shop area.
• Diagnoses and repairs equipment in the service shop.
• Completes all required reporting for service time accurately and efficiently.

Skills

Mechanical experience with heavy equipment

Knowledge of hydraulics

Education

High school education or equivalent
