Qualifications

• ITAR compliance: U.S. citizens or permanent resident required.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: minimum five years in heat treating or related industry.
• Leadership: oversee heat treaters and other employees with strong leadership qualities.
• Technical Knowledge: advanced heat treating knowledge; testing and aerospace materials helpful.
• Metallurgy: working knowledge of metallurgy and temperatures.
• Availability: overtime or any shift, including weekends.
• Certifications: forklift operator certification required.
• Communication: ability to read, write and communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Oversee department to ensure safety, accuracy, quality and on-time delivery.
• Provide process improvements and recommendations for solutions.
• Instruct and direct work activities of employees in assigned areas.
• Train and direct activities, communicating customer needs and company goals.
• Keep track of work in progress and confer with foreman/management.
• Operate, control and monitor heat treating equipment as required.
• Promote safety and good housekeeping practices.
• Perform other tasks as assigned or dictated by position.
• Care for customer inventory and work safely to prevent loss or damage.
• Report for work on time, follow directions, interact effectively with coworkers.
