Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a 2nd Shift Public Safety Officer II to provide professional security services with a patient-centered approach at the Milwaukee or related Advocate Health facilities. Responsibilities include patrols, incident response, de-escalation, and collaboration with medical staff and law enforcement.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and relevant security certifications, with the ability to obtain required credentials within specified timelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must have Security Officer Healthcare Certification (CHSO) within 2 years of appointment.
• Driver’s license required.
• Wisconsin team members: CCW license required.
• Certified in Conducted Energy Weapon use within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provides security services with a customer-service approach and professional conduct.
• Maintain professional appearance and adhere to safety and security rules.
• Patrols interior and exterior areas to identify vulnerabilities and safety risks.
• Responds to emergencies and service calls, including aggressive or threatening individuals.
• De-escalates situations and uses force when necessary per policy and training.
• Prepares and maintains thorough incident reports and training records.
