Job summary

OSI Industries, LLC in Illinois is seeking a Shipping & Receiving Lead to oversee daily department operations. You will assign tasks, review work, and ensure safety and accuracy of shipments in a manufacturing setting.

The role involves leading 16-25 employees, coordinating equipment maintenance, and entering data for receipts and movements. A HS diploma and basic mechanical knowledge are expected.

Qualifications

• 0-1 years of experience in related field is preferred.
• Ability to read and understand a variety of documents related to the shipping and receiving of goods and materials.
• Ability to accurately enter information into a variety of software applications using a keyboard and personal computer.
• Basic understanding of mechanical operations.
• High School Diploma or equivalent work experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team, assign tasks, verify completion, rotate assignments, and enforce safety/work rules.
• Manage 16-25 employees; supervise and motivate staff without hiring authority.
• Process shipments per procedure: validate drivers, direct trailer activity, verify BOLs, and ensure accuracy.
• Inspect cooler/freezer conditions, inventory levels, and packaging materials.
• Enter data on goods receipts, inventory moves, and costs using PC/software.
• Uphold safety procedures and follow policies, regulations, and laws.
