Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. is hiring an Associate Overhaul Technician for the 2nd shift in Mabank, Texas. You will disassemble and rework various Solar Turbine gas compressor models, use specialized tooling, and enter build data into Power Apps to support field service and customer sites.

The role requires mechanical aptitude, precision measurement skills, and the ability to work OT and weekends. Safety-first mindset and teamwork are essential as you support multiple compressor models in a dynamic

Qualifications

• Experience with precision measuring equipment.
• Familiarity with dynamic balancing of compressor rotors.
• Background in oil & gas operations or strong mechanical background.
• Willingness to work overtime and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble and reassemble gas compressor models using special tooling.
• Operate hand, pneumatic, and battery-powered tools.
• Clean components in wash bay and blast cabinet.
• Measure critical dimensions with micrometers and calipers.
• Input build data into Power Apps system.
• Coordinate logistics for compressor tooling to customer sites.
• Maintain safety awareness and teamwork.
• Repair/overhaul experience of centrifugal gas compressors or turbomachinery.
