Job summary

Shively Bros. Inc. is seeking a Gage Engineer to support manufacturing operations, ensuring gage designs align with company standards. The role coordinates gage R&R studies, maintains gage databases, and certifies gages used in the plant, while collaborating with quality stakeholders and gage service providers.

The position requires strong problem solving, attention to detail, and experience with GD&T and CMM-related tasks. Training will be provided to plant personnel on gaging methods.

Qualifications

• Experience in automotive manufacturing environments preferred.
• Experience with gage R&R studies and calibration tracking.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and GD&T specifications.

Responsibilities

• Maintain Gage Trak or equivalent database usage and completeness.
• Identify improvements to gages and calibration frequencies from data.
• Create reports for gage recertification and track repair history.
• Coordinate gage certification and vendor relationships.
• Assist floor personnel with CMM issues and gage recalls.
• Report Non-Conformances and participate in root-cause investigations.
• Provide training on gaging techniques and measurements.
