Job summary

Solar Atmospheres in Fontana, CA is seeking a dedicated Furnace Operator to join our team. You will operate vacuum heat treating furnaces, manage loads, and ensure strict quality standards while handling multiple projects. Training is provided, and prior manufacturing or heat-treatment exposure is a plus. This is a second shift role with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
Basic math skills will serve you very well.
Reliable and organized with the ability to multitask and prioritize.
Comfortability working in a fast-paced environment moving around consistently throughout the day.
Ability to lift, bend, reach, and stand for extended periods of time.
Experience in manufacturing, warehouse, or heat treatment is a plus but willing to train!
Forklift and Overhead Crane experience/licensure a plus.

Responsibilities

Planning and changing out furnace loads and packing all orders.
Operating furnaces and other shop equipment.
Maintaining clean and orderly work areas (we pride ourselves on safety and cleanliness).
Follow project instructions and complete all customer labeling and packaging requirements.
Configure and monitor settings on programs, recorders, and vacuum gauges.
Work efficiently while ensuring company quality standards are maintained.
Utilize a forklift and overhead crane as needed.
