Job summary

North Star Mohican Casino Resort is seeking a Front Office Coordinator in Bowler, WI. The role requires ensuring guest satisfaction, supervising the front desk team, and maintaining daily hotel operations using the hotel management system.

You will lead by example, deliver exceptional guest services, manage schedules, and coordinate with the Hotel Manager. A gaming license, strong communication, and a flexible schedule are essential for success in this casino environment.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Associate’s degree in hospitality, business, hotel/restaurant management or related field preferred.
  • Previous supervisor/management experience, preferably in casino/hotel.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs.
  • Ability to learn hotel software.
  • Flexible schedule when required.
  • Exceptional guest service skills.
  • Ability to maintain positive working relationships between departments.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to understand and implement policies and procedures.
  • Ability to plan and multitask.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain satisfactory working record.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must obtain and maintain a Gaming License.
  • Must follow MICS and TICS requirements per gaming division.
  • Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and insurance required.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure adherence to all rules, regulations, procedures, and policies of North Star Mohican Casino Resort and Hotel Department.
  • Dress professionally.
  • Adhere to high service standards to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Monitor lobby traffic flow for efficiency and guest satisfaction.
  • Respond to guest inquiries in an efficient, courteous and respectful manner.
  • Make schedule adjustments when necessary and inform the Hotel Manager.
  • Evaluate and monitor team performance to ensure exceptional guest service.
  • Communicate promotions, events and programs to staff and guests.
  • Create and complete daily reports from the hotel management system.
  • Assist in ongoing training and development of front desk team.
  • Assume responsibility and perform duties during shortages.
  • Coach and counsel team members as needed.
  • Conduct performance evaluations for team members.
  • Carry out assignments given by the Hotel Manager.
  • Notify Hotel Manager and Hospitality Director of pertinent information daily.
  • Other duties may be assigned due to business needs and requirements.

  • Assume responsibility and perform duties of team members when there are staff shortages or when team members needassistance.
  • Coach andcounselteam members when the need arises.
  • Conduct performance evaluations for team members.
  • Carry out all assignmentsgiven by the Hotel Manager.
  • Keep the Hotel Manager and in their absence the Hospitality Director informed of all pertinent information daily.
